My interest in this medium started around seven years ago, to satisfy a need: the need to move. Since I can remember, I’ve always liked to walk, be it during daytime rush hour or just going home after a night out. It has become a spiritual activity where my senses become altered, usually a calming effect kicks in. It is a period where confused mental processes become organized, or at least head there. One day, I thought: ‘Perhaps I should start documenting the walks. What if I could transmit some emotions and feelings that arose from what I saw during the walks? Or maybe even the lack of it?’ Around the same time that I started to travel alone as most of my friends were starting their own families or simply became nine to five workers. The conditions were set for my new interest in photography: boredom and love of walking.
About Me
I studied Music Technology in London’s Thames Valley University, from 2005 till 2007. After graduation, I ended up working as an audio-visual technician in Macau, China. Fate brought me to the video field, I worked for five years with projection and AV systems for 360° dome-shaped ‘Bubble Theatre’ in City Of Dreams. In 2017, I helped build Asia’s first dynamic theatre LED wall, for the new MGM Cotai. Afterwards I joined Venetian’s Video team to work in LED wall systems for entertainment events. On the last day of 2019, I left Asia. Currently, I am living in Portugal, learning software development and to play the digital piano.
